About Us
The meaning of the word ‘Snehachhaya’ is ‘under the tender care of love and affection’. It is similar to the love that a mother showers upon her child. A feeling of an endearing empathy, of unconditional and pristine love, of self-less attachment and compassion.
True to its name ‘Snehachaya’, is a non-profitable, non-commercial public charitable trust thathas been established with the mission to provide both a safe and secure shelter of love and care todestitute animals while upholding The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act as well as to help in the conservation and restoration of nature, including vegetation, forests, air, water and so on.
It also aims to suggest and participate as implementing agency in the grant of financial assistanceor otherwise, the formation or establishment of rescue homes, animal shelters, sanctuaries andthe like, where animals and birds may find a shelter when they have become old and useless orwhen they need protection.
